Darlene (Heath) Coulas, beloved wife of Sydney Coulas of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, passed away on Wednesday, October 26  2016 in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 76 years after a battle with cancer.

Darlene was born February 1, 1940 in Anthon, Iowa. She was born and raised in Iowa, and she moved to Canada on her own in her mid-twenties.

She moved to Edmonton, where she met Sydney and married him on August 9, 1973. They raised their children there, later moving to Calgary.

Darlene was a committed Edmonton Oilers hockey fan throughout her life. She will be remembered as a hockey mom.

Darlene was a devoted mother and grandmother, an avid gardener and card player, and a lover of animals.

Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Sydney; her daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Cory Renwick; her son, Jeffrey Coulas; and her grandchildren, Zachary and Hannah.

In living memory of Darlene Coulas, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by Mcinnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Fish Creek (14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, Alberta, Canada).
