David Carl Bainbridge, 73, of Kingsley, Iowa,  passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Memorial service will be held  on Friday, November 4, 2016 with the Rev. Roger Kurtenbach officiating at Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa. Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., with the prayer service starting at 7 p.m. Following the service, please join the family in the fellowship hall for coffee.  Burial will be later in the Kingsley Cemetery. David was born February 6, 1943 in Kingsley, Iowa, the son of the late Carl and Charlotte (Graham) Bainbridge. He was raised and educated in Kingsley, graduating from Kingsley High School in 1961.

On December 23, 1961, he married Karen Fokken at the Brethren Church in Kingsley. They ran a local business together for several years.

David loved going to his place at Okoboji and spending time boating and fishing. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He also had a great love of the outdoors.

In addition to his wife, Karen, he leaves behind a son, Darryl Bainbridge of Kingsley; a daughter and son-in-law, Darla (Jeff) Weiler of Remsen; two granddaughters, Cassie and Tessa; a sister, Joyce (Bainbridge) Conry of Orange City; and several nieces and nephews.

David is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Delmar Bainbridge & Colleen (Bainbridge) Forbes.
