Robert “Bob” Treptow

Robert “Bob” Treptow, 91, of Sioux City, died Friday, August 4, 2017 at his home.

Per Bob’s wishes, he will be cremated and no service will be held. Arrangement is under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Bob was born in Plymouth County, Iowa. He grew up in Pierson, Iowa.

He later moved to Sioux City and married Betty Sharp. They had two children; a daughter, Ti (Pat) Vanbuskirk, and a son, Bob Treptow.

Robert served in World War II in the European theater with the U.S. Army.

He was a salesman of cars, real estate and glass.

Bob is survived by his daughter, (Pat) Ti (Ron) Vanbuskirk; his son, Bob (Patti) Treptow; three grandchildren: Emily (Corey) Ainsworth, Owen Gross and Zach (Raechel) Vanbuskirk; two great great grandchildren, Carter and Oliva Ainsworth; and his daughter-in-law, Linda Burris.

He was preceded in death by his parents Crystal and Lulua Treptow; his wife Betty in 2016; and four brothers: Melvin, Russell, Lloyd, and James.
