The Plymouth County Board of Supervisors met in the Annex Basement on July 14, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. All members were present. All votes following are aye unless otherwise indicated. Board Chairman Don Kass called the meeting to order and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Meis, to approve the July 14, 2020 agenda. Motion Carried.
Motion by Horton, seconded by Meis, to approve the minutes of the July 7, 2020 meeting. Motion Carried.
Motion by Loutsch, seconded by Horton, to approve payroll from 7/10/20 and 7/15/20. Motion Carried.
Motion by Loutsch, seconded by Horton, to canvass the Craig City Special Election held on 7/7/20 with the results as follows:
For the office of Craig City Council – to fill a vacancy there were thirty-five (35) votes cast as follows:
Julie Plueger received twenty-two (22) votes; scattering received thirteen (13) votes.
We therefore declare Julie Plueger duly elected for the office of Craig City Council – to fill a vacancy to fill a term of 2 years. Motion Carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Meis, to open the FY 2020-21 County Budget Amendment public hearing at 10:01 am. Motion Carried.
No members from the public were present and no comments were received.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Loutsch, to close the hearing closed at 10:02 a.m. Motion Carried.
Motion by Meis, seconded by Horton, to approve the FY 2020-21 County Budget Amendment. Motion Carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Meis, to approve the Recorder’s quarterly report from April to June 2020 as presented by Recorder Jolynn Goodchild. Motion Carried.
Motion by Horton, seconded by Meis, to approve the Niehus’s Marble Road Addition in Section 34 of Elgin Township. Motion Carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Loutsch, to approve the Henry VI Addition in Section 6 of Henry Township subject to the easement for the driveway and well and for the calf barn being removed. Motion Carried.
Motion by Horton, seconded by Loutsch, to approve a permit to Southern Sioux Rural Water in Section 29/32 of Washington Township on C38. Motion Carried.
Motion by Loutsch, seconded by Horton, to approve the permit to Southern Sioux Rural Water in Section 5/6 of Westfield Township on Cedar Ave. Motion Carried.
The Board of Supervisors adjourned the meeting at 11:05 am.
