Plymouth County Supervisors Minutes — January 12, 2021

January 12, 2021 — Le Mars, Iowa

The Plymouth County Board of Supervisors met in the Boardroom on January 12, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.  All members were present.  All votes following are aye unless otherwise indicated.  2021 Board Chairman Don Kass called the meeting to order and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Meis, to approve the January 12, 2021 agenda.  Motion Carried.

Motion by Horton, seconded by VanOtterloo, to approve the minutes of the January 4, 2021 meeting.  Motion Carried.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Meis, to approve the payroll of 1/8/2021.  Motion Carried.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Meis, to increase the Plymouth County communication center fee for cities for FY 2021-22 by $1 from FY 2020-21.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by VanOtterloo, to approve a cash rent farm lease to Gary Ellensohn for $500 annually to farm 3.5 acres of county property by the County LEC.  Motion Carried.

Motion by Anderson, second by Horton, to approve the October 1 to December 31, 2020 Recorder’s quarterly report as presented by Recorder Jolynn Goodchild.  Motion Carried.

Jeff Gengler, Mark Marienau and Todd Osterbuhr were present to offer the FY 2021-22 Secondary Road department bargaining unit contract options that they would like the Board of Supervisors to approve.

Motion by Horton, seconded by Anderson, to direct Bruce Brock to update the sale bill of the RCF to state the County has the right of refusal of any offer.  Motion Carried.

The Board discussed the FY 2021-2022 budget.

The Board of Supervisors adjourned the meeting at 2:15 p.m.
