The regular meeting of the Cushing City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Mayor Don Joy Jr.

Council members present: Jerry Wittrock, Shawn Joy, Mary Tyler, Jesse VanHouten.
Absent: Alex Rabbass

City Maintenance. Council discussed cemetery mowing. Clerk instructed to hang signs around town for bids. Wittrock will talk to Carstens about repairing sander, skid loader, and pickup blade.

Committee & Appointments. No change.

Motion made by VanHouten to approve Reports as given. Seconded by Tyler. Motion carried 4/0.

General Business
• Set Public Hearing. Motion made by VanHouten to set public hearing to set tax levy FY23-24 for February 7, 2023. Seconded by Tyler. Motion carried 4/0.

• Wages FY23-24. Motion made by Tyler to raise wages starting 7/1/2023. Seconded by Wittrock. Motion carried 4/0.

• Mosquito Spraying. Motion made by VanHouten to approve contract for Summer 2023, and to pre-pay $1615. Seconded by Wittrock. Motion carried 4/0.

• Cemetery/Park Lawn Treatment. Motion made by Joy to approve contract from Jay-Lan for Summer 2023. Seconded by VanHouten. Motion carried 4/0.

Resolution 2023:01: Motion by Joy to set the public hearing for February 7, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. to set the tax levy maximum for FY23-24. Seconded by VanHouten. Motion carried 4/0.
