It's been a busy summer at the local libraries.  The Quimby Library is hosting a space-themed program called "A Universe of Stories" while the Anthon Library is hosting Summer Reading Bingo

Kingsley Classic Car Show 2019

The streets of downtown Kingsley were filled with some of the finest automobiles from the area last Wednesday night. The annual car show featured the Tri-State Cruisers and  the Strollers. Collectors, enthusiasts and casual observers enjoyed a pleasant night of visiting and inspecting the classic automobiles. An added treat was a BBQ meal and ice cream in waffle cones, which were served during the night. Kroozin’ Kettle Corn sponsored the event, which raised funds for the KP/WC track and field program.

Magic Show at Kingsley Library -- June 12, 2019

The Mike Prestby Magic Show "Take me to your Readers!" was presented at the Kingsley Library on June 12 to a packed house. It was a fun program with magic, comedy, puppets, and even a live rabbit that appeared.

Moville Days 2019

Tech Day at Woodbury County Fairgrounds

Tech Day was held Wednesday, May 1 at the Woodbury County Fairgrounds.  High School students from around the area brought exhibits they had made in school this year.  There was also a chili cookoff and a salsa competition. Seamstresses Make Dresses for Girls in Haiti

On March 23, 2019, members of the County Quilters joined other seamstresses at the Moville Community Center to make dresses for young girls in Haiti.

St. Patrick's Trivia Night 2019

Photos from the annual St. Patrick's Day Trivia Night, sponsored by MCDAI (the Moville Community Development Association, Inc).  This year's event took place Saturday, March 16, 2019.  The winning team was the O'Mara family.  Second place went to WIATEL (Western Iowa Telecom).

Flooding in Moville and Kingsley -- March 13, 2018

These photos were all taken on Wednesday, March 13th. The West Fork was cresting at 6:30 p.m. but during the night it went out of its banks and has flooded several businesses in the low-lying areas. Ag Con is flooded and The 4-Way Stop is closed.  (Photos by The Record's Pam Clark)
