After Kingsley's Augustfest parade, the Dynamix Dancers performed, Little Miss Kingsley was announced, and the smile contest contestants who rode in the parade were introduced.

As part of Augustfest, Barre Street in Kingsley hosted a car show, BBQ rib supper, with pie and ice cream for dessert.  (The thumbnail image is a 1964 Dodge Polara).

The 4-Hers of Woodbury County participated in Style Revue, Clothing Selection, and the $15 Challenge. They were presented their ribbons on Saturday afternoon at the fair.

It's been a busy summer at the local libraries.  The Quimby Library is hosting a space-themed program called "A Universe of Stories" while the Anthon Library is hosting Summer Reading Bingo

The streets of downtown Kingsley were filled with some of the finest automobiles from the area last Wednesday night. The annual car show featured the Tri-State Cruisers and  the Strollers. Collectors, enthusiasts and casual observers enjoyed a pleasant night of visiting and inspecting the classic automobiles. An added treat was a BBQ meal and ice cream in waffle cones, which were served during the night. Kroozin’ Kettle Corn sponsored the event, which raised funds for the KP/WC track and field program.

The Mike Prestby Magic Show "Take me to your Readers!" was presented at the Kingsley Library on June 12 to a packed house. It was a fun program with magic, comedy, puppets, and even a live rabbit that appeared.
